Cat Stevens (che dopo la converisone all'Islam ha assunto il nome Yusuf Islam) ha scirtto questa canzone nel 1970, (dall’album “The for the Tillerman” il secondo dell’artista).

E' una ballata straordinaria, e allora come oggi mantiene vivo il suo significato.

Iil mondo ha rotto i contatti comunitari e sociale. Il mondo pieno di cattiveria, senza equilibrio, ritorna nella bestialità, nell’inciviltà.

Bisogna diventare forti, “non basta un sorriso”.

"Ognuno deve trovare la propria strada, spero che anche voi troviate la vostra" disse cat Stevens nel suo ultimo concerto del 1977 prima della sua conversione e del suo ritiro dalle scene, nel momento del suo massimo successo.

Solo nel 2003 ritornerà sulle scene.
